Saints draftee King boots bag in VFL

2019-05-19T20:22+10:00

In just his second game of VFL footy, star Saints draftee Max King has kicked a bag of four goals.

King, who has been rehabbing a torn ACL suffered in April of 2018, has immediately looked the part at the level below for the Sandringham Zebras, who went down to Essendon by 13 points today.

The number four pick in the 2018 National Draft booted four from seven disposals, while taking six marks.

Fellow former first round pick Hunter Clark was outstanding for the Zebras as well, gathering 32 disposals and kicking a goal.

As for the Bombers, David Myers responded to his dropping in the best possible way, kicked three goals and picking up 29 disposals.

Jordan Ridley’s 21 disposals and a goal were also key in the win.

King's brother Ben, a fellow top 10 pick, made his debut for the Suns on Sunday, finishing with five disposals.
