2019-06-12T17:13+10:00

AFL Hall of Famer Terry Wallace has delivered his mid-season report cards for all 18 clubs.

Speaking on AFL Nation, Wallace assessed each club and provided an explanation to back up his grades.

"I’ve tried to balance it out as you would in a school assessment," the Hawthorn great said.

Below are Terry Wallace's mid-season report cards:

Adelaide: C+

“The Crows have had a big last two weeks.”

Brisbane: B-

“A really strong start, but a bad loss against Carlton.”

Carlton: E

"Two wins and a sacked coach is unacceptable, but expectation wasn't high."

Collingwood: B+

"Two of their losses have been against high ranking teams."

Essendon: D-

"Expectation from Essendon was top eight, but they look likely to miss again."

Fremantle: B-

“They’ve had great wins over GWS and Collingwood – both away.”

Geelong: A

"Not an A+ due to a home loss. The only A of the class."

Gold Coast: D

“The Suns are starting to drop away but three wins is better than what I expected."

GWS: B

"They have the second highest percentage in the competition."

Hawthorn: D+

"They've had big swings in form."

Melbourne: F

“For Melbourne, from top four to 16th, is a disaster."

North Melbourne: D+

"They are heading in the right direction."

Port Adelaide: C+

“Port Adelaide have played kids and had injuries."

Richmond: C-

"They've held up ok with injuries, but percentage will kill them. It's going to cost them spots."

St Kilda: D

"St Kilda had a bad loss in China but they've mostly been competitive.”

Sydney: F

"Sydney - a finalist to fall to 15th says it all.”

West Coast: B

"They are really building nicely."

Western Bulldogs: D-

"The Bulldogs are barely doing enough to get a pass."
