Tigers star set to miss Crows showdown in further blow

2019-06-12T13:50+10:00

Richmond is likely to be without star Shane Edwards for Thursday night’s clash with Adelaide, according to Channel Seven reporter Mark Stevens.

Edwards was a no-show when the Tigers boarded for Adelaide today as mystery surrounds the absence of the 2018 All-Australian.

It comes after skipper Trent Cotchin was ruled out of the match against the Crows due to a hamstring injury.

“Shane Edwards wasn’t on the flight either and I’ve been told he is set to miss. He won’t train this afternoon,” Stevens told SEN Afternoons.

“I don’t know at this stage what’s wrong with Shane Edwards, but it looks like he will miss as well.

“I’m not sure whether it’s an injury or another issue or whether he will play over tomorrow, but I think that would be unlikely, so we expect Shane Edwards to miss as well for the Tigers.”

It shapes as a massive game with both clubs sitting at 7-5 heading into the second half of the season.
