Young Saint King cleared of ACL damage

2019-06-16T00:00+10:00

St Kilda has confirmed that Max King has avoided serious damage to his knee playing for Sandringham in the VFL today.

King, 18 limped off following an awkward landing in a marking contest at Trevor Barker Oval this afternoon, sending a shudder through the Saints camp.

However, scans revealed jarring in the knee and no structural damage to speak of.

The No.4 pick in the 2018 AFL Draft is recovering from an ACL injury he sustained playing for Haileybury College early last year.

King is pressing his claims for senior selection after five promising VFL outings.
