Scott provides injury updates on Dahlhaus, Kelly and Rohan

2019-06-23T11:30+10:00

Geelong coach Chris Scott says star trio Luke Dahlhaus, Gary Rohan and Tim Kelly should all be available for selection for the Cats’ clash with Adelaide on Friday night.

Geelong went down to Port Adelaide by 11 points last night, losing their first game since Round 4, which was against the Giants.

But that wasn’t the only problem, as the Cats were hit by a trio of injuries.

Dahlhaus suffered a shin injury but returned to the field, while Kelly suffered a heavy hit late in the final quarter.

Rohan failed to play out the game after being concussed in the third term.

However, Scott is remaining optimistic about all three players' chances of playing next week.

"Rohan couldn't come back on with a bit of a head knock … Tim Kelly looked like he was really sore, but it turns out he's just winded I think, so not great in the moment but OK for next week," he told reporters at Adelaide Oval.

The Cats coach also confirmed forward Esava Ratugolea will be available for selection next week, after he missed last night's clash with a hamstring injury.

Last night’s loss marked Geelong’s eighth straight loss after the bye.

However since 2012, the Cats have won seven straight games the week after the week of the bye, so they will be fancying their chances against the Crows on Friday night at GMHBA Stadium.
