Richmond captain Trent Cotchin is on track to return for Sunday’s clash with St Kilda in Maddie’s Match at Marvel Stadium.
Cotchin, 29, has had an injury-interrupted season having spent two months on the sidelines with a hamstring tear.
He returned for two matches before succumbing to hamstring soreness ahead of the Tigers’ Round 13 loss to Adelaide.
“All I have to do is get through training, but at this stage it looks very likely,” Cotchin told SEN’s Whateley.
“Once I’m on the track and playing or training it doesn’t bother me at all really.
“It’s more just the mental side of having the slight setback mid-way through my recovery the first time around. It puts some demons in the back of your mind.
“I feel really healthy and I’ve done a lot of strength work and in theory it should be stronger than it's ever been.”
Cotchin’s return would be a major boost for Richmond who currently sit outside the top eight on percentage.
