Herald Sun journalist Sam Edmund believes Sydney are in the hunt for an additional ruckman to support incumbent big man Callum Sinclair.
Edmund proposed that St Kilda, who are reportedly offering untried Essendon ruckman Sam Draper a million-dollar offer, may “have some competition” from the Swans.
He told SEN Breakfast that Sydney will look to bolster its ruck stocks when the trade period kicks off later in the year.
“We’re hearing the Swans are chasing a ruckman to ease the load on Callum Sinclair so they’re canvassing their options,” Edmund said.
“So players like (Todd) Goldstein, who we hear about constantly, Sam Jacobs, Paddy Ryder, that’s a name that’s come up in recent weeks as well. They need big man support.”
John Longmire's side are aiming to win their third straight game when they take on the Gold Coast Suns at the SCG on Saturday.
