Rawlings to leave West Coast for North Melbourne

2019-06-27T13:51+10:00

Brady Rawlings is set to join North Melbourne as the club’s new head of football.

Reports suggest Rawlings will depart his role as West Coast Eagles list manager to return to the club where he played 245 games and won three Syd Barker Medals.

Rawlings, 38, is under contract with the reigning premiers until 2020 but The Age and foxfooty.com.au both understand he will leave the club this year.

It is understood his role in the West will finish immediately as the Eagles will not want him involved in list management decisions seeing as he is on the way to a rival club.

Regarding the move to Arden Street, Rawlings is unlikely to begin this season due to the fact outgoing head of football, Cameron Joyce, will remain in the job until October 31.

However, the Kangaroos are keen for him to be involved in the hunt for their new coach and planning for 2020, even if he is not officially working at the club until a later date.
