Carlton young gun Sam Walsh says he would love to have interim coach David Teague at the club on a permanent basis.
Since taking the reigns at the Blues in Round 12, Teague has led his side to two wins from three games, including yesterday's four-point victory over Fremantle.
Walsh says he would be “very pumped” if Teague secured the role beyond this season.
“What Teaguey’s done for us so far in his short time as head coach has been great,” he told SEN Mornings.
“He’s just instilling confidence in the players to use their strengths.
“That’s probably been the main aspect of it.
“He’s such a great communicator and a lot of guys get along with him really well.
“He’s a good people person, very modest guy as well so he drives the standards very well from the top.”
The Blues will aim to secure back-to-back wins when they host Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday.
