Will Robbie Gray go down as Port Adelaide’s greatest ever player?
The superstar won his fifth Showdown Medal on the weekend and has built an incredible resume at Alberton.
Nick Dal Santo believes Gray belongs in the same bracket as Warren Tredrea, Gavin Wanganeen and the other all-time greats of the club.
“I don’t see any issue with saying Robbie Gray is (Port Adelaide’s best ever player) in the history of that football club,” Dal Santo said on SEN Breakfast.
“It’s a huge statement and it’s not far off.
“Worst case scenario he is in the top two or three.
“He was superb on the weekend. He had 35 disposals, 16 of them contested, wins his fifth Showdown medal.
“He’s played just over 200 games, he’s kicked just over 300 goals, pick 55 in the 2006 National Draft, he is in my top couple of players to watch.
“I don’t care if he’s playing midfield, half forward, in the goal square, he is brilliant to watch and a nightmare match-up.”
