Gold Coast has moved to lock away prized draftee Izak Rankine on a new contract extension, according to The Age.
Rankine, who is yet to make his debut for the Suns, has put pen to paper on a fresh deal that ties him to the club until at least the end of 2022.
The South Australian recently returned from injury via the NEAFL having missed a large chunk of the year with a hamstring strain.
Fellow top-end draftees Jack Lukosius and Ben King are contracted for next year but have yet to follow Rankine in re-signing.
The 19-year-old forward was touted as the most exciting talent to come out of last year’s draft.
