Hawthorn defender Jarman Impey says Brisbane are the toughest team he's faced this season.
The Hawks have struggled against Chris Fagan’s side in recent times, losing their last three meetings by an average margin of 36 points.
Brisbane’s 56-point win in Round 9, 2018 was their first over Hawthorn since 2009.
Fagan, a former assistant coach during Hawthorn’s three-peat under Alastair Clarkson, has transformed the Lions from cellar dwellers to finals contenders since taking the top job in 2016.
“The toughest team? Brisbane have been pretty good,” Impey told SEN Drive.
“We haven’t beaten them on a couple of occasions now, so hopefully we can play them soon.
“For me, it would probably be Brisbane.”
Hawthorn will look to end their mini hoodoo against Brisbane when the two clubs clash at University of Tasmania Stadium on July 27th.
