Hawthorn has shown an interest in acquiring out-of-contract Adelaide midfielder Hugh Greenwood, according to afl.com.au.
The 27-year-old has been discussing an extension with the Crows but has so far failed to agree to terms.
Greenwood has played in the last 11 games after struggling to initially break into Adelaide's star-studded midfield, averaging 17 disposals per match.
The Hawks’ interest comes after an off-season that saw them add Tom Scully and Chad Wingard to their ranks and have been heavily linked with GWS forward Jonathon Patton.
However, Greenwood and Patton are not the top priority for Hawthorn with out-of-contract Giants gun Stephen Coniglio the club’s number one target.
Coniglio is being targeted by a number of clubs including West Coast and Carlton but Hawthorn remain firmly in the mix to secure the star midfielder’s signature.
