Matthew Lloyd has blasted Port Adelaide following their dismal showing against Brisbane, describing the loss as the most "embarassing" he's witnessed in the last decade.
The Power’s poor start cost them dearly, allowing the Lions to boot the opening seven goals before eventually going down by 48 points at the Adelaide Oval.
Ken Hinkley’s men targeted Brisbane star Lachie Neale from the outset and Lloyd described the physical tactic as “pathetic”.
“I thought it was one of the more embarrassing losses I’ve seen in the last decade,” the Essendon great told AFL.com.au’s Access All Areas.
“I thought the way they went after Lachie Neale and couldn’t back it up on the football field was pathetic.
“They just gave away dumb free kicks … put your head over the ball. It was a team attack (on Neale), they forgot about what you have to do as well, and that’s win the football.
“You just have no faith in Port Adelaide whatsoever.”
Port Adelaide will look to stay in touch with the top eight when they face in-form Richmond at the MCG on Saturday.
