North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein says interim coach Rhyce Shaw is already having a massive impact on the club behind the four walls.
Since Shaw took over at the Kangaroos, his side has won four out of six games, including big wins over Collingwood and Richmond.
Goldstein says a slight change in structure during the week has led to the Roos’ new-found success under Shaw.
“It is a different feel around the club and the game plan doesn’t change at all, we’re still playing the exact same game plan,” he told The Oval Office.
“I think the difference that Rhyce has brought to our club is that the Monday to Friday is probably a little bit different.
“The way meetings are structured, the way days are structured has changed slightly.
“He’s probably simplified the message a little bit more so he doesn't try and give too much, it’s more about a couple of simple focuses for us.
“They’re the little tweaks you can make but to change a whole game plan, you need a pre-season to do that.”
The Kangaroos will be aiming to bounce back from their narrow one-point loss to Essendon in Round 17 when they take on Brisbane at the Gabba on Saturday night.
