Brisbane hard nut Mitch Robinson has signed a two-year contract extension.
Robinson’s new deal will see him remain a Lion until at least the end of the 2021.
The 30-year-old has repaid the faith shown by the Lions after he was delisted by Carlton at the end of the 2014 season.
“For the team that gave me a second lifeline, I’m very grateful to them,” Robinson told lions.com.au.
“Thankfully Greg Swann saw something in me to offer me a contract.
“I feel like I’m always indebted to them.”
Robinson is enjoying an outstanding season averaging 21 disposals and five tackles per game in 2019.
Academy graduate Jack Payne also penned a two-year deal with Brisbane.
Payne, 19, has been struck down by shin injuries and is yet to play a senior game.
