North ruckman signs two-year extension

2019-07-31T12:50+10:00

North Melbourne’s Tom Campbell has extended his contract with the club for another two years.

Campbell joined the Kangaroos after being let go by the Bulldogs at the end of 2018 and has played two games for the club in 2019.

“At the end of last year, I didn’t know if my AFL career was over or not, and North threw me a lifeline for which I’ll be forever grateful,” Campbell told NMFC.com.au.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Arden St and am glad to extend my stay a little longer for sure.”

This re-signing comes amidst rumours that number one ruckman, Todd Goldstein could be on the move, but Campbell is hopeful of continuing to work with the veteran.

“Working with Goldy (Todd Goldstein) has been great for me. I believe we can work together more down the track and hopefully we can both fit into the senior side and form a formidable duo in the AFL.”

Campbell has played 44 games across an eight-year career with 42 of those games coming with the Western Bulldogs.
