GWS star Stephen Coniglio is set to leave the club at season’s end, according to Channel Seven reporter Mark Stevens.
Coniglio, 25, remains out of contract with the Giants and has been heavily linked with a move to Victoria as well as his native state of Western Australia.
The gun midfielder recently underwent knee surgery and is likely to miss the remainder of the season.
According to Stevens, Coniglio may have played his final game for GWS with Carlton reportedly the favourites to land the free agent.
“The mail is tonight, and it is strong mail, that he (Coniglio) will leave GWS,” Stevens told Channel Seven.
“I think Carlton are in front of the Hawks to get his signature.”
Coniglio has played 133 games for the Giants since debuting for the club in 2012.
