Sydney co-captain Josh Kennedy believes star forward Lance Franklin is set for a Round 23 return.
Franklin has been sidelined since Round 14 with a hamstring injury and is stranded on 299 career games.
If he returns in Round 23 against St Kilda at the SCG, it could coincide with Jarrad McVeigh’s farewell game.
When asked if Franklin would return in the last game of the home and away season, Kennedy said he thinks it would be likely.
“I reckon he’s set himself for Round 23 at the SCG, so that could be a pretty amazing week going into that game with his 300th,” he told SEN SA Breakfast.
“Hopefully Macca (McVeigh) can get right and play his last game.
“It’ll be an exciting time if that’s the case.”
The Swans take on Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon, a side they haven’t beaten since Round 20 in 2016.
