North Melbourne veteran Scott Thompson will call time on his AFL career at season’s end.
Thompson, 33, will bring down the curtain on a 12-year career at Arden Street.
The determined defender has played 238 games for the Roos and is a one-time All-Australian and Syd Barker Medallist.
“When it comes to our famed ‘Never Beaten’ mantra, Scott epitomises it more than any other,” North GM of Football Cameron Joyce told nmfc.com.au.
“He is a player that will never lie down, and always gives his all out on the field.
“Scott’s determination, durability, competitiveness and grit can never be questioned, and he sets a terrific standard for all our players.”
Thompson was taken as a mature-age recruit from Geelong’s VFL side with pick No.37 in the 2007 National Draft.
