Aussies swing change for Lord's test

2019-08-14T05:34+10:00

Australian coach Justin Langer has made one change to the XI for the second test at Lord’s.

James Pattinson has been left out in favour of Josh Hazlewood, while Mitchell Starc remains 12th man.

The short turnaround between games is likely the reasoning for the change, with the selectors wanting to keep the Victorian fresh.

Pattinson took 2-111 from 35 overs in the first test, opening the bowling alongside Pat Cummins.

Cam Bancroft remains the opening partner for David Warner, despite calls for Marcus Harris to return.

The Aussies will be looking to grab a 2-0 lead over England on what is supposedly the flattest of the five pitches at Lord’s.
