Manager addresses Moore’s links to the Western Bulldogs

2019-08-21T16:46+10:00

Liam Pickering expects Darcy Moore to remain at Collingwood next season after he was recently linked with a move to the Western Bulldogs.

AFL.com.au’s Mitch Cleary reported the Magpies defender is on the Bulldogs’ radar with the 23-year-old set to come out of contract at the end of next season.

The Dogs have significant salary cap space to fill after their failed pursuit of Chad Wingard and the retirement of Tom Boyd.

“He’s not going to the Bulldogs next year,” Picking told SEN Breakfast.

“I can’t see why he wouldn’t be (at Collingwood next year). He’s contracted.

“There’s been no discussion with them (Western Bulldogs) about Darcy Moore.”

Moore signed a two-year contract extension last October after being linked with a move away from the Westpac Centre.

The injury-prone Pie is closing in on a return after missing the past five matches with a hamstring strain.

Collingwood take on Essendon at the MCG on Friday night.
