Another Victorian club in the mix for Fremantle’s Hill

2019-08-23T07:00+10:00

There is another club in the race for Fremantle’s Bradley Hill, according to AFL.com.au.

The Dockers wingman is already being linked with the likes of Geelong, Carlton and St Kilda, while even an unlikely return to Hawthorn has been mooted.

But one more Victorian side is attempting to put themselves in the mix according to Marc McGowan who was alongside Riley Beveridge on the Trade Desk on AFL.com.au.

“It’s still the same as far as who is leading the way. It’s St Kilda, it’s Carlton and it’s Geelong,” McGowan said.

“In recent times, there has been some contact between some people at North Melbourne with Brad Hill directly.”

However, the Kangaroos’ interest in Hill is not expected to upset the current state of play.

“My understanding is the Hill camp will not consider North Melbourne in that way,” he added.

“It’s still status quo but a little interesting development.”

Asked if he expects it to be a three-horse race between the Cats, Blues and Saints, McGowan added: “I do.

“Carlton definitely will be willing to put up that first-round pick, Adelaide’s pick from this year.

“Whether that gets the job done, I don’t know, but St Kilda has a higher pick so that puts them in a strong position.”

Hill, 26, is contracted with the Dockers until the end of 2021 but reportedly wants a move back to Melbourne.
