Stephen Coniglio has turned down mega-offers from Carlton and Hawthorn to remain at GWS.
The Giants have confirmed tonight that the superstar free agent has recommitted to the club on a seven-year deal at roughly $1 million per season.
The Herald Sun suggests Coniglio is touted as a future captain of the club and the culture and direction of the club played big roles in his decision to stay.
The star midfielder is currently still recovering from a knee injury and is unlikely to be available for GWS’ Elimination Final clash with the Western Bulldogs.
