Former Essendon skipper Matthew Lloyd has thrown up an interesting straight-swap trade between his old side and Port Adelaide.
Talk has circulated that the Power should consider moving on captain Ollie Wines for the right deal.
Lloyd has thrown up a straight swap involving Wines that he believes would be a win-win.
“How’s this for a trade? Ollie Wines for (Orazio) Fantasia?” Lloyd asked on Sportsday.
“A direct swap. I think Wines is exactly what the Bombers need on the inside. I think it’s the one spot they lack, that bull inside.
“Fantasia, if he wants to go, he adds a bit of pace (for Port).”
Fantasia was linked with a move home to South Australia earlier in the year.
Journalist Tom Morris doesn't see the Power moving on their skipper, who is contracted until the end of 2022.
“I’ve spoken to people at Port Adelaide about Ollie Wines and they’re vehemently denying that Wines is going anywhere at the end of this season," he said.
