Demons assistant coach joins brother at Kangaroos

2019-09-05T17:38+10:00

North Melbourne has bolstered its football department by acquiring Melbourne assistant coach Jade Rawlings.

Rawlings will work closely with senior coach Rhyce Shaw and stoppages coach Jarred Moore in overseeing the club’s midfield group.

His brother Brady will also return to Arden Street in December to take up the role as GM of Football, replacing the outgoing Cameron Joyce.

The 41-year-old departed the Demons after serving as their backline coach since 2012. He also coached the club’s VFL affiliate.

“We’re really excited to have someone of Jade’s calibre at the club,” Shaw told nmfc.com.au.

“I identified Jade as someone I wanted to work with when I was appointed as senior coach. His professionalism and experience speaks for itself and he will be a tremendous asset.

“Jade has coached his own sides before and will bring a wealth of knowledge. I have no doubt he will be a fantastic addition and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”

Rawlings played three of his 148 games with the Kangaroos.
