Todd Goldstein has signed a new contract with North Melbourne.
According to SEN Breakfast’s Sam Edmund, the ruckman has put pen to a deal with the Kangaroos despite serious interest from Geelong.
The club has confirmed the news.
“Big news at North Melbourne that Todd Goldstein has signed,” Edmund said.
“He’s turned his back on a big Geelong offer, a four-year deal.
“He’s accepted a three-year deal. He will stay a one-club player.
“Geelong came hard late but North Melbourne came to the party with an improved offer."
Goldstein, 31, admitted his delight at committing to the club where he has played 234 games after debuting in 2008.
“I had a lot to weigh up when the season finished, but ultimately my love for North, my teammates and the people here won me over," Goldstein told North Media.
“I've always said I wanted to see out my career at Arden St and be a one-club player, so I'm thrilled to be able to do that now."
