Has Adelaide found their replacement for departed coach Don Pyke?
Andy Maher has been told highly rated assistant coach Scott Burns is the man on the Crows’ radar.
Burns has over a decade’s worth of coaching experience since hanging up the boots after a 265-game career at Collingwood.
The 44-year-old has been an assistant at West Coast before returning to the Magpies after missing out on the Eagles top job to Adam Simpson in 2013.
He is now working under Alastair Clarkson at Hawthorn.
“I wonder how far down the track they (Adelaide) are with the search? I reckon they know,” Maher told SEN’s Bob and Andy.
“A little birdie has told me you can’t get enough on Scott Burns – lock it in. Good judge – lock it in."
Adelaide premiership coach Malcolm Blight indicated Pyke could return to Perth and pitch for the vacant Fremantle job.
Pyke spent four years at West Lakes, winning 60.7 per cent of his 93 games in charge.
