Adelaide ruckman Sam Jacobs has agreed to join GWS on a two-year deal, according to Tim Watson.
Jacobs, 31, is out of contact at the Crows and has been linked with a return to former club Carlton with reports suggesting he recently met with the Blues.
But the Giants look set to win the race for the veteran Crow as they seek to strengthen their ruck stocks for 2020 with Shane Mumford no certainty to play on next season.
“You just wonder whether or not Mummy (Shane Mumford) is capable of going into another season,” Watson told SEN Breakfast.
“I’m hearing that Sam Jacobs has agreed to a two-year deal at GWS.”
Jacobs played five games in 2019 with Reilly O'Brien assuming the mantle as Adelaide’s No.1 ruckman.
Since debuting in 2009, Jacobs has gone on to play 201 games for both the Crows and the Blues.
