Report: Two Victorian clubs ramping up interest in Port defender

2019-09-20T15:34+10:00

North Melbourne and Essendon have both ramped up their attempts to land Port Adelaide defender Dougal Howard.

AFL Media is reporting that the defender is gettable, despite his contract situation.

Howard re-signed on a three-year extension with the Power, tying him to the club until the end of 2022.

He played 15 games this season, averaging 4.5 marks and 11.6 disposals per game.

This comes as news breaks that Aaron Francis has re-signed with Essendon until the end of 2022.
