WATCH | Score review controversy plagues Prelim

2019-09-21T19:47+10:00

Had GWS lost the Preliminary Final, this score review decision would go down in infamy.

Josh Thomas’ shot for goal early in the fourth quarter which gave Collingwood all of the momentum was ruled all clear, despite Heath Shaw clearly getting his hand on the ball.

The AFL’s fancy new ARC bunker system was unable to overturn the decision, which could have ultimately cost a team a Grand Final appearance.

Early reports suggest "insufficient evidence" was the reasoning for the non-call.

Garry Lyon deemed the decision "embarrassing".
