Tim Kelly is officially an Eagle.
As first reported by Mitch Clearly on Telstra AFL Trade Radio on Tuesday night, the two teams agreed to a deal in-principle quite early in the trade period and have now put the final pieces together.
The Eagles give up picks 14, 24, 33 and next year's first round pick, while the Cats will send back pick 57 and next year's third round selection.
The trade seemed inevitable, with the out of contract Cat requesting a trade to West Coast last year, wanting to take his young family back home.
That deal fell over, but Kelly will now join Luke Shuey, Elliot Yeo, Andrew Gaff and Nic Naitanui in a star-studded midfield group.
