Former club champion and reliable defender headline six Power re-signings

2019-10-11T16:53+11:00

Port Adelaide has announced six re-signings - including veteran utility Justin Westhoff.

Westhoff, 33, will play on for a 14th season after inking a one-year contract extension.

The 2018 John Cahill Medallist added 20 games last season to take his career total to 268 matches since debuting in 2007.

“Justin is a unique player because of his versatility and experience,” GM of Football Chris Davies told portadelaidefc.cm.au.

“That he remains physically able to compete at the age of 33 is a credit to the way he has prepared and dedicated himself to his football.

“Justin is a highly-rated teammate and a fantastic person to have around the club and we’re thrilled to have him remain at Alberton for season 2020.”

Trent McKenzie, Martin Frederick, Cam Sutcliffe and Tobin Cox also signed on for 2020.

Defender Darcy Byrne-Jones re-signed for a further three years that will see him remain at Alberton until at least the end of 2023.
