Report: Acres reluctantly agrees to join Fremantle

2019-10-16T07:33+11:00

Blake Acres flew to Perth yesterday to meet Fremantle and will join the club on a three-year deal, reports Fox Footy’s Tom Morris.

The midfielder will form the final factor of the Brad Hill deal, albeit reluctantly.

The report suggests Acres has told people close to him that he had no choice but to move back home to Western Australia and play for the Dockers, with St Kilda insisting he be a part of the deal.

It was added last night that the Saints will add Hill in exchange for pick 10, a future second round pick, Acres and pick 58.

Pick 58 will make its way from Gold Coast to Geelong for Zac Smith. It will then move from the Cats to the Saints for Jack Steven. The frequent flyer miles will be racked up as it next heads to Fremantle. The Suns originally received 58 from the Tigers last year on top of that.
