North Melbourne and Hawthorn have completed a swap of picks ahead of the upcoming AFL Draft.
The Kangaroos will receive pick No.30 in this year’s draft, with picks 50, 73 and a future second-rounder moving to the Hawks.
Hawthorn now holds picks 11, 42, 50, 54, 63, 73, 87 and 92 in the upcoming draft.
The pick swap has improved North Melbourne’s draft position as they now hold three picks inside the top 30 - 26, 27 and 30.
Roos coach Rhyce Shaw says the move will give the club added flexibility in the draft.
"We’ve got two first-rounders next year and a few more picks under our belt," Shaw told SEN Drive.
"Now we’ve got a bit more flexibility again. We’ve got three picks inside 30 which is really pleasing."
Next week’s AFL Draft takes place on November 27 and 28 at Marvel Stadium.
