Josh Hazlewood didn’t miss a beat in his return to cricket for the Sydney Sixers, looking his best in the win over Adelaide.
The big quick took 1/18 from his four overs, destroying Alex Carey’s stumps in the process.
Hazlewood suffered a hamstring injury early in the Perth test against New Zealand, leaving the Aussies a bowler short.
The Sixers had a big task in his return, needing to chase down the Strikers’ 176, but breakout young batsman Josh Phillipe was up to the task.
He smashed an unbeaten 83 off 52 balls, helped along by opening partner Justin Avendano who made 47.
