UPDATE

Carlton released the following statement regarding Marc Murphy's injury:

Carlton veteran Marc Murphy has been cleared of any serious damage to his ankle, following an incident at training today.

Scans confirmed low-grade bruising to his right foot.

His training schedule is expected to be modified for 1-2 weeks.

EARLIER

Carlton midfielder Marc Murphy has picked up a suspected ankle injury at training, according to AFL Media's Callum Twomey.

He reportedly went down during match simulation, with the 32-year-old taken off the field on a golf cart.

He didn't take any further part in the match and has been sent for scans.

Murphy played 19 games for Carlton in 2019, averaging 25 disposals and kicking 12 goals.

It’s not the only injury worry for Carlton, with young forward Harry McKay still in the club’s rehab group after his season was ended by a groin injury.
