Ricky Ponting has named his team of the tournament so far across the Big Bash competition.
The BBL is entering the back half of its tournament, with the Melbourne Stars separating themselves from the pack on top of the ladder.
Reigning champs the Renegades have done the same on the bottom, while every other team remains in the hunt.
Three Stars players make Ponting’s team, while the Strikers also have three representatives.
Surprisingly, the winless Renegades also have two players who make it.
Of the players unlucky to miss, BBL leading wicket taker Daniel Sams appears stiffest, while Callum Ferguson has also been impressive for the Thunder.
