David King names his top 8 for 2020 with one big bolter

2020-01-23T07:36+11:00

The 2020 season is getting closer and closer and with that comes some predictions.

North Melbourne great David King has named his top eight heading into the season.

The two-time premiership player only has one change from 2019, with Essendon dropping out and being replaced by Port Adelaide.

King believes they have the right mix to jump into the top eight calculations.

“I reckon there will be a surprise. I like their kids,” he told SEN Breakfast.

“I really think their kids did a lot of heavy lifting last year.

“I just think that their senior core players will get better again this year and Travis Boak had a fantastic year last year.

“There were reasons why, in my opinion, they didn’t have the year they wanted last year, but I’m a fan of what they’ve done.

“They were 0-2 in games decided by under 10 points, that corrects, you get a bit of luck.

“I’m a massive fan of Connor Rozee. I like what they’ve done.”

King added that West Coast, GWS, Richmond and Collingwood are “locks top play finals”.
