Irish rugby player Fionn O'Hara will reportedly undergo a trial at Hawthorn.
AFL.com.au’s Marc McGowan understands the Hawks will fly O'Hara to Australia to potentially list the teenager as a Category B rookie.
If successful, O'Hara will join Conor Nash and Conor Glass as the third Irishman to join Hawthorn. Nash and Glass were both elevated off the rookie list and have played 19 and 17 games respectively.
An Irish representative at under-18 level, O'Hara plays for Leinster – one of Ireland’s most successful rugby clubs.
Hawthorn has one Category B rookie spot available and have until June 30 to decide whether to sign him.
O'Hara also has experience in Gaelic football having played for Westmeath.
