United keep finals hopes alive with big win over Perth

2020-01-30T08:28+11:00

Melbourne United kept their season alive overnight, holding off the Wildcats 77-67 at Melbourne Arena.

In a low scoring affair, United got off to a flying start and played from in front all night.

Chris Goulding led the way with 17 points, while Jo Lual Acuil put up 15 and 10 rebounds off the bench.

Nick Kay (23 points) and Bryce Cotton (21 points) dominated for Perth, but hitting three of 20 from deep sunk them in the end.

The win keeps United in the playoff hunt, sitting one win behind the Bullets in fourth place.
