Wines placed on Power’s long-term injury list

2020-02-07T07:39+11:00

Ollie Wines has been placed on Port Adelaide’s long-term injury list.

Wines, 25, underwent shoulder surgery on Monday night and will miss the start of the season.

The Power vice-captain dislocated his left shoulder in what the club described as an “unfortunate” training incident.

It’s the second straight year Wines will be sidelined for the start of a new campaign.

“In order for our coaches to have maximum flexibility with regard to selection for Round 1, if Ollie is unavailable, we’ve made the decision to have him placed on the long-term injury list,” GM of Football Chris Davies told portadelaidefc.com.au.

Shoulder and thumb injuries restricted the big-bodied midfielder to 12 games in 2019.
