2020-02-10T11:08+11:00

Champion Data has ranked every AFL team, broken up by their defenders, forwards, midfielders and overall.

Reigning premiers Richmond have been rated as having the best overall list, with the number one defence, second best forward line and seventh best midfield.

The Western Bulldogs surprisingly rank second overall, with the number two defence, number three forward line and sixth best midfield.

GWS has the number one forward line according to Champion Data, but stunningly, their midfield ranks 12th.

This is despite having Stephen Coniglio, Callan Ward, Josh Kelly, Lachie Whitfield, Tim Taranto, Jacob Hopper and Matt de Boer.

Brisbane’s midfield is ranked first, with North Melbourne, surprisingly, coming in second place.

Down the other end, Gold Coast is ranked last with the worst backline and forward line.

Carlton is next lowest, having the worst ranked midfield.

Melbourne was ranked as having the best list in the AFL this time last year, but comes in 13th this time around.
