EARLIER
Collingwood’s Dayne Beams was reportedly involved in a car accident in Melbourne on Thursday night.
According to the Age, Beams was taken to hospital but avoided serious injury. No one else was injured at the scene.
Beams, 30, took an indefinite break from football on mental health grounds in December after stepping away from the game in July for the same reason.
The midfielder battled shoulder and hip injuries that restricted him to nine games last season.
He re-joined the Magpies in a blockbuster trade from Brisbane in 2018.
