The banter between Collingwood’s State of Origin representatives has begun.
Brodie Grundy is one of five Magpies that will take the field in next Friday night’s bushfire relief match between Victoria and the All-Stars at Marvel Stadium.
Grundy and Jeremy Howe will play for the All-Stars while Steele Sidebottom, Scott Pendlebury, Darcy Moore will don the Big V jumper.
Speaking on SEN SA’s Kymbo and The Rooch, Grundy detailed the verbal barbs that have come his way from two Victorian Magpies.
“Scott likes to talk a lot of dribble. He reckons he might finally get some good service next week,” the All-Stars ruckman said.
“Darcy Moore said he can’t wait to tell me that I sleep with the lights on. It’s already begun.
“Me and Howie (Jeremy Howe) are looking forward to getting amongst it and meeting other elite players in the competition."
Richmond and GWS dominated the State of Origin squads with six players selected across both teams. Collingwood and Brisbane have five players involved.
