North Melbourne has confirmed Majak Daw will make a fairytale return to senior football in tomorrow night’s Marsh Community Series clash against Western Bulldogs.
The 28-year-old hasn’t played since round 23 two seasons ago after he sustained pelvic and hip injuries in a serious incident in December 2018.
Coach Rhyce Shaw said he was proud to welcome back the popular defender after a sustained period on the sidelines.
It’s been a long journey and he’s (Daw) put his head down and stuck to his task,” he told reporters on Thursday.
“(I’m) really pleased with where he’s at.”
Daw returned to the field in the VFL last year against Sandringham but Friday night’s clash marks his senior return.
Shaw also confirmed trade period acquisitions Aidan Bonar and Josh Walker will pull on the North Melbourne colours for the first time in their opening pre-season clash.
