The three All-Stars Harris Andrews is eager to play alongside

2020-02-20T13:40+11:00

Brisbane vice-captain Harris Andrews is buzzing for next Friday night’s State of Origin clash at Marvel Stadium.

Andrews is one of five Lions taking part in the bushfire relief match with the All-Australian defender to don the All-Stars jumper along with small forward Charlie Cameron and midfielder Lachie Neale.

The 23-year-old Queensland native is looking forward to rubbing shoulders with some of the league’s best, in particular Adelaide pair Brodie Smith and Rory Laird as well as West Coast’s Brad Sheppard.

“There’s a few of them, but certainly guys in the backline like Brad Sheppard and the two boys from Adelaide: Brodie Smith and Rory Laird,” Andrews told SEN Breakfast.

“I’m really looking forward to getting to know them, because we’re from Brisbane we don’t really get that exposure. There’s going to be heaps of guys I’m going to meet for the first time.

“I guess if we can do our little part and provide some entertainment and raise some good money for those people (affected by the bushfires), then that’s what we can do.

“I’m really excited to get down there (to Melbourne) and have the opportunity to potentially play with the best players in the game.”

Andrews will be up against Brisbane teammates Dayne Zorko and Stefan Martin who were both selected for Victoria.
