Australian Football Hall of Famer Terry Wallace has named four clubs that must show more in their final Marsh Community Series matches.
With just three weeks until Round 1, clubs have one last hit out before the season proper begins.
“I’m not worried but I just want to see them give more in the second game,” Wallace told SEN’s Bob and Andy.
Below are the quartet of clubs that must fire up during the last round of Marsh Series games:
North Melbourne
Geelong
Carlton
Sydney
The Swans were heavily beaten to the tune of 94 points by rivals GWS on Saturday and Wallace feels finals is out of the equation for John Longmire’s side in 2020.
“I don’t think they (Sydney) are much good,” he said.
“I think that they have got a really good batch of 23 and unders. They’ve got seven or eight really good players, but I don’t think those under 23s are going to be able to win them enough games.
“I think that their senior core group with Buddy (Franklin) banged up … I just don’t think there’s enough in that next level to get them anywhere.
“I would be really, really, really, surprised if they got anywhere near the top eight.”
