Richmond has taken a different approach to the 2020 season, ditching the leadership group concept.
Instead, they will go in with Trent Cotchin as captain and Jack Riewoldt as vice-captain.
It will be Cotchin’s eighth season at the helm, while the club is confident its group of senior players will provide leadership even without official titles.
The club had three leaders in 2019, but Alex Rance's retirement sees them down to just the two.
SEN’s Kane Cornes praised the decision on Twitter, saying:
Richmond get it. Leadership groups ❌ https://t.co/Kc8DYcfWwq
