There are now serious fears over the immediate future of the AFL season, according to SEN Chief Sports Reporter Sam Edmund.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced on Sunday morning that he was advising against non-essential domestic travel as the coronavirus crisis continues to worsen.
Edmund said this could mean the season could be halted after the culmination of today’s games.
“I think it might affect us in some way,” he said on SEN’s Crunchtime.
“Without putting the cart before the horse here, we might be one and done here.
"The Prime Minister has told Australians to cancel any non-essential domestic travel and the AFL are working through that as we speak about what steps they’re willing to take.
“It just pours more pressure on the heavyweights down at AFL House – I believe they’re working through what it means as we speak.”
